I've always found your replies to threads on Confetti really useful but always seemed to struggle searching to find the thread again when I needed it. Having all the info in one place on the make-up advice forum has been invaluable and a lot less hassle!

I've always been interested in make-up and always wear make-up - even to pop to the local corner shop (well, you just never know who you might meet on the way!) I have make-up bags and drawers full of make-up at home - where I've made mistakes and bought completely the wrong colours for me (especially foundation!) - but your website has given me the confidence to approach the perfectly made-up scary ladies in the white coats in the department stores and to actually ask for their help - instead of running off to the safety of the Rimmel/Max Factor etc aisles in Boots where nobody bothers you!

I'm getting married in 3 weeks time and your website has given me great advice on bridal make-up - in case I have to do it myself. I actually typed up a list of all the recommended products and went internet and department store shopping - and of course had to have a make-over at the Chanel and Clinique counters too (something I would never have done before!)

I had a wedding make-up trial by someone who was recommended by my hairdresser and I wasn't completely satisfied with it and was delighted when Kate from your website contacted me to tell me she was free. Kate is coming to me tomorrow to do my trial - all the way from Essex to Basingstoke!

As I said, I've always liked make-up but your website has actually made me excited about it! It's great waiting for packages to arrive from eBay - knowing that the seller has been recommended too - and desperate to try everything out!

So, instead of being obsessed with the Confetti website - I now log onto yours everyday and check out the latest posts. ...... and when I do go onto Confetti and someone asks a make-up question - I reply, referring them to your website.

Thanks Sam - I love looking at all the make-up artists and hair websites - I've got some great ideas from it for my wedding.

The advice forum has given me the confidence to try experimenting with different shades and putting it in different areas especially my eyes. From hardly ever wearing make up, I've gone to wearing it daily and now have some smashbox make up and brushes. That are quite lonely and need adding to!! (then goes looking for other half's credit card!!)

Its fabulous and very friendly.

Cheers Sam & thanks

Kirsty

I didn't even really think about make up until I kept seeing you post on Confetti - and when you first set your site up, I remember going to it, and saving it to one of my faves straight away !!

II would luuurve to win the make up, so that I can keep looking good after Kate does my make up on my wedding day !!

I have really really bad skin, and it brought tears to my eyes to look at my make up after she did it and to see no spots!! -It was the first time!!!! - But it was back to usual the next day !!

I do find the tips on yoiur website very useful, and I know that you have helped out soooo many people, and made people that love make up turn into pros - you should be proud of yourself!

I honestly do think that you have made sooo much difference to peoples 'make up lives' and spruced up more people than you know !!!

Lots of love and Kisses, Gem
